Workshops

Viva Brasil Productions offers a range of community and corporate workshops for all ages and abilities. The workshops are tailored to your needs and can be structured as a one-off or on-going for greater skills development. Workshops are offered in Capoeira, movement and dexterity, Brazilian dance, drumming, percussion, singing and acrobatics.

Viva Brasil Productions offers a different workshop experience – the history of resistance, Afro-Brazilian culture and the strong spiritual and musical aspects of Capoeira means that our workshops create a safe space for learning and personal growth. Participants will regain a sense of mental and physical balance, reduced stress or anger and appreciate the joy of life!

Depending on the specific workshop, participants will enjoy improved fitness, strength, agility, flexibility, self-esteem, confidence, self-defence and personal growth.

Holiday Workshops

Viva Brasil offers short workshops for school holiday activities. Based either in our Chippendale studio or on location, the workshops are designed to be great fun and quick skills development for children and youth. One-off workshops will introduce students to range of easy to learn skills and fun group work. On-going workshops offer the opportunity to develop a wider range of social, physical and mental skills - allows for greater development that the students can then use for performance or other school projects. Students participating in a minimum of 32 hours of classes will be eligible for their first Capoeira belt.

Workshops are also available throughout term by special arrangement.

Tailored workshops are available for Performing Arts Schools and other groups entering with a high skill level.

Corporate Classes

Viva Brasil offers corporate classes for organizations providing innovative staff days or on-going recreation and health options for their staff. Corporate classes offer the opportunity to build a sense of team work, trust and communication amongst participants of all levels and abilities. Corporate classes can also be lots of fun with relaxation, laughter and de-stress. Our Marrickville Academy accommodates groups from 5-35 people, has two rooms available for meetings and a small tea room for whole day events.

Corporate classes or workshops can be tailored for high-level skills enhancement for performing artists or performance groups (dance, theatre, music and circus).

Community Action Projects

Community Action Projects is aimed at working with community organizations (non-profit) for positive social change. Acknowledging the need to contribute toward our community and social development for all, Viva Brasil offers subsidised and specialised workshops or courses.
